To Whom This May Concern!??!

I hope and pray that all who are reading this are blessed with the best of health and the highest of spirit! At this time...Please allow me to introduce someone to you all, his name is, Ronald James Hamilton Jr. But better known as "Inmate #999436" by the State. He's from Houston, Texas, born and raised! If you all are unaware, he is currently on " Texas Death Row. "

I would like to welcome you all into his world, if you don't mine. Let me carry you back in time if you would, but I must warn you it won't be pretty, but it's the truth! First let me say Ronald is not the ordinary child from next door, no not the kid your son calls over for a sleep over. I doubt he's ever had one in his life! but without any further delay let me introduce to everybody the "Ronald," I know; the one who was raised by a drug addicted mother and father, one whose mother was also a known prostitute. Before he was born he was an addie! Why, you may ask, was he an "addic!?!"

 His mother smoked drugs and drank alcohol from the first day till the day she gave birth to him. So the entire time while she was pregnant, and before, she was an addic--not only to drugs and alcohol but to pills as well. She popped Valium's while she was pregnant with him; not for pain I may add, but rather for her own delight. 

At the age of eight he was trying to find that same feeling he had in his mother's womb, so at the young age of "8" he began huffing aerosols and other gas's to get high just like both his parents. As you can see, so far, he's always had it hard from day one! Now you can almost see why his 1ife had ended before it had a chance to start. And to make matters worse, he couldn't read or write. Due to a severe visual perception deficit, which is similar to dyslexia, from which he suffered, Ronald was placed in special education classes betore he was 2nd grade. When he was 13 he was still reading at a :first grade level. At the time nobody knew of  much less cared about, him being mentally retarded. But now at this time, this very day, the State is eagerly trying to kill Ronald by claiming he is not retarded--he on1y has a"disorder." The records reflect in 1987 he had an I.Q. of 92. However, what they are slow to acknowledge is, that Ronald was in fact ten years old and enrolled in the second grade during that time. (Allbeit most fourth graders are of ten years in age) Due to this, itmade it difficult tor hirn to fit in any wherel At school he was an outsider, at horne he was an outcast. AB far as schaol was concerned, he was 1eft behind in every one of his classes; that's until his school got tired of him embarrassing them, and therefore "socially promoted" him onto the next grade.

Ronald was 10 years old in the 2nd grade. He couldn't be held back no more than two years from his peers in school; that, plus they had to get him out of "their" way. It got to a point where he wasn't just a child with a problem learning, no, he was the problem. So with the trouble learning at school, in addition to the problern with his drug addicted parents awaiting at home, Ronald had no one to turn to for any help. Having those facts lain before you, one can almost be certain that, for survivial purposes, a life of crime was in this child's path for the future! Maybe some of you can identify with what Ronald has been through in his life.

Maybe you can't. Nonetheless, I would like for you to write him.I know he would love to hear from each and every one of you! PLEASE get to know him before you misjudge him, as so many have done in his past. Ronald truly needs your help!
